J-Serve is the annual day of service for Jewish youth throughout the world. It is a day on which Jewish teens join their counterparts in other faith communities, other cities and other countries in giving of their time to serve the communities in which they live.

J-Serve 2007 in San Diego was a great success! Over 400 teens participated in building wheelchairs, visiting the elderly and distributing food through Hands-Up Food Pantry.

J-Serve 2008 promises to be just as exciting. A Teen Leadership Council, representing the diversity of the San Diego Jewish Community began meeting at the end of November 2007. One of the goals this year is to provide ongoing opportunities for service in addition to the big one-day event.

J-Serve is a program of PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values. PANIM is a non-profit educational organization, established to train the next generation of Jewish leaders through the integration of Jewish learning, values and social responsibility.
