Instructor - Janice Alper

What do kvetching, miracles, vows and talking asses all have in common? Probably not much, but they all appear in the fourth book of the Torah, BaMidbar/Numbers. This narrative work describes the ancient Israelites travels through the desert, their success and challenges.

In this course we will explore BaMidbar/Numbers in depth through several lenses: legislation, miracles, human nature and Covenant. Be prepared to bring an open mind, creative thoughts and ideas, and a willingness to look at a Jewish text in several different ways.
