Florence Melton Adult Mini School
A Journey To Our Jewish Past, Present and Future....
The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, co-sponsored by the San Diego Rabbinical Association, is a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It aims to enable Jewish adults from all backgrounds to learn about our heritage and culture through the study of traditionall texts. The new sememster will start in September. Registration is now open.

Coronado Institute
The Coronado lecture series is a monthly event that features some of San Diego’s most brilliant Jewish professors speaking on their own areas of research. In the 2006-2007 season, Professor David Goodblatt spoke on “Are the Jews a Nation? What History Tells Us;” Professor Sandy Lakoff discussed “Islam and the Jews;” Professors Steven Cassedy, Deborah Hertz and Tomas Levy also spoke about their latest work. ULPAN San Diego Classes are based on the proven successful methodology of Professor Zev bar-Lev, SDSU, and are taught by Alana Shuster. ULPAN classes will meet weekly for 2 hours and continue for 20 sessions beginning October 9, 2006. Classes offered during the day in the UTC and Carmel Valley area, and in the evening at a number of different locations. There will be Level I and II classes which will begin during the week of October 9, 2006.
